This document has been prepared based on the order of the Health Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic dated May 29, 2020 No. 352 and the Culture, Information and Tourism Ministry of the Kyrgyz Republic dated May 29, 2020 No. 192 “On approval of sanitary and epidemiological requirements to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19 ) in the tourism sector ” and on expert recommendations based on the international practice of European countries, WHO recommendations (currently available) on the spread of COVID-19 disease. The materials provided by the GIZ Project “Promoting Sustainable Economic Development in Kyrgyzstan” and members of the Kyrgyz Association of Tour Operators were used as well.

The document was developed for the participants of the tourism sector (transport, cafes and restaurants, hotels, guest houses and yurt camps). They are suggested to follow the recommendations as much as possible. The guidelines will be used as a basis by the production studio to develop a series of short, hands-on videos for tourism service providers.
